At the Lebanon VA Medical Center, J.E. Horst Builder assisted in a public works project by erecting two pre-engineered metal buildings according to the architectural design and engineering specifications. One of the buildings contains the generator controls and the other building houses the automatic power transfer equipment. Together, this system will provide support for the new MRI medical equipment. Excavation for the building pads, building pad compaction and stone grading, as well as final site grading and grass seeding were also included in the contract for this project. After the building pad was inspected and approved, the foundations were excavated and the reinforced concrete building pads were poured and finished. Additional work performed on this project included pouring and finishing a sidewalk, curbing, a concrete pad for the bulk propane tank, and a bituminous parking area for the propane delivery truck. A fence was also installed around the propane tank.
