This business owner contacted J.E. Horst for help with design and construction of a new office building. The problem was that they had outgrown their current office space, and they were in bad need of more offices. The solution to the problem was not that far away; attached to their current building was the old original barn where for many years chickens were raised for their eggs, and the eggs were sold to the locals and also to many stores. J.E. Horst proposed tearing down the original barn portion of the building, and constructing a new building in its place. The owners were concerned about not loosing the “down on the farm” feel of their business, so a building was designed that would appear on the exterior to be an old original barn, but on the interior it would be modern and functional.
